Tattoo removal

Tattoo removal is for anyone who wants to get rid of a tattoo they no longer desire, whether it’s a poorly done tattoo, one that no longer fits their tastes or lifestyle, or even a tattoo that could impact their professional career. The primary goal of tattoo removal is to completely eliminate an unwanted tattoo.

Procedure

Skin Tightening

Tattoo removal is a procedure aimed at eliminating an existing tattoo on the skin. While the most common method of tattoo removal is laser, there is another technique that involves removing a tattoo using skin tightening.

This technique, also known as ‘excisional’, involves surgically removing the tattoo by excising the part of the skin that contains it. Once the tattoo has been removed, the surrounding skin is tightened and sutured to allow optimal healing and minimize scars.

Skin tightening can be used for small to medium-sized tattoos but may be more challenging for larger or complex tattoos. We will perform the procedure in multiple stages if necessary. This method is also more invasive than laser tattoo removal, meaning that the recovery time may be longer, and scars may form.

Recovery

It’s important to understand the recovery process after the procedure.

After the procedure, the treated area will be covered with a surgical dressing, and patients may experience some pain or discomfort. It is important to follow the post-operative instructions provided by Dr.Guberman to help minimize pain and promote rapid and effective healing.

Patients may notice some swelling and bruising in the treated area, but this will gradually diminish over time. Scars may be visible after the procedure, but should fade with time and good post-operative management.

It is important to follow Dr. Guberman’s instructions and take the prescribed medication to help manage pain and prevent infection. Patients should also avoid smoking or drinking alcohol during the recovery period, as this can delay healing and increase the risk of complications.
